Why did I decide to become a Forest Bathing Guide?
My connection with nature was triggered from a personal need to reconnect with a more balanced pace of life. The excess of variables that we accumulate in our lives eventually becomes a real trap. Over time, we end up as victims of our own choices.
Dedication to work without well-defined limits;
The information overload we expose ourselves to daily through media, social networks, and contact groups;
The excess of things we possess, which in practice end up controlling us due to the obligations and responsibilities they often represent;
The little or even nonexistent time in our schedule reserved for taking care of ourselves.
The planet needs healing, and many of us already feel this call to slow down. On one hand, doing, having, producing, and consuming less seems to be one of the directions to take. On the other hand, it is necessary to help those who want to follow the path to a more balanced life by providing them with tools and showing them the different ways to achieve it.
In my own process of reconnecting with a healthier lifestyle, I felt the need to share the incredible benefits I have enjoyed on this journey.
While already collaborating with Milene Domingues, a Forest Practitioner and the head of the Ngura-Floresta de Cura project, I felt the desire to deepen my knowledge in this field. Therefore, in 2023, I enrolled in the Forest Bathing Guide training provided by the Forest Therapy Hub, international leader in the training of Forest Guides and Practitioners and a member of the Planetary Health Alliance
For all those who already work directly with nature or in an environment where nature is present, as well as for those who feel the call to embark on a more sustainable and healthy way of being in this world, I invite you to learn more about this incredible organization.
