When stress comes from outside… and also from within.

Stress is something that causes us a very palpable reaction, we feel it in our body and mind, and often completely takes over the way we feel.
Understanding the mechanisms of stress better and understanding how to deal with the effects it has on me has been one of my areas of study in recent years.
I know that being in contact with nature helps a lot to mitigate the effects, but how can we avoid them in the first place?
Even now that I have opted for a more relaxed pace in my life, I continue to experience occasional moments of pressure that prevent me from moving forward with my day as normal. The trigger goes off and I am immediately held hostage by physical discomfort and a surge of mixed emotions that take away my energy and mental clarity.
So, how can we minimize these effects and learn to reprogram our mind and body to reduce the impact and take control of our emotions?

Dealing with stress. Reprogramming our mind and body.
Most of the time, we get angry because we are reacting to something external to us, almost always caused by other people. I recently started reading Mel Robbins ' book on this subject - The Let Them Theory . The author suggests that we should learn to "let go" of everything we cannot control, and this includes what other people do or say.
I admit it’s not easy, but there are some strategies that can help us along the way. I also believe that the best results come with practice. Over time, we will incorporate some principles that help us preserve our peace of mind and deal with conflict situations more easily.
Here are some that I identify with and try to keep in mind whenever I need to:
“Let them” — letting go of the need to control others is an immediate relief.
Focus on what you control: actions, choices, limits. The rest is not yours.
Release the need to please: trying to be everything to everyone is exhausting
Create space between stimulus and response: before you react, breathe.
Practice emotional detachment: Not everything is personal — and that's okay.
Prioritize your peace: learn to protect it like someone caring for a garden.

When You Need a Little Push: An Invitation to Retreat
If you feel like you need a little push to integrate these concepts into your life, our Nature & Wellbeing Retreat could be just what you're looking for.
A biannual event to help you stop, reflect and find your center.
For 6 days on Flores Island , we will slow down, let go of what weighs us down and practice what we often forget: being present, with ourselves and with nature.
Because sometimes, what you really need is some time for yourself. And we are here to welcome you. 💚
we are nature 🌿
